Sorry WM6, I am a bit   s l  o  w, I was on the road !!!!!!  Clown

WTF,  I see what you mean!!   shocked   shocked   shocked

All those references. Its a way of snowstorming the examiners with (probably) vaguely related data!

The Patent Examiner ("Examinator" to you) ...... would just about have a FIT.  He is probably only given a few days to examine each patent & references.

YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT!!  Hmmmmm ..... do you think it happens in Australia with Mr Sweets patents?   I bet it does!   sad1   sad1

Doug,

If I were the head examiner (or EXAMINATOR) (love that term!!) I would request (no, demand) the patent applicants to provide

      - extracts of each reference, and
      - highlight or demonstrate to show
      - the relevance of EACH reference they provide to their application.  Clown

Do you think I would make a good HEAD EXAMINATOR ??   rolleye 1

Cheers, Huego  happy face

Can I be both a TERMINATOR & HEAD EXAMINATOR (Dual roles) .......... I would do a very good job, ask Spinkta!  Clown

If these patent (application) conditions were not met, the patent could be terminated and the applicant bear the legal costs.

These conditions would include .....

1. Provision of extracts of each provided reference showing their relevance to the application (eg as prior art).  No confusing mathematics or legal jargon.
(This is to reduce smoke & mirrors).

2. Applicants may be asked to show WHY some prior art was not disclosed & if or why they were ignorant of it (made accountable for non disclosure)
